On the way back home, I stumbled across Marble Hill Blue Flag Beach. It was a short detour from my way home but the whole point of going out was to see places like this. The weather seems to have improved a lot that day and part of me makes me think if I should be heading back to Dunlewey where I was earlier in the day. Each time I go out, I would just assume that it would rain. Only when the sun is shining would I get be reminded what a beautiful day actually feels like. I would admit that this is one of those times which I wish I appreciated beautiful days more. Anyway, I was at Marble Hill Blue Flag Beach admiring the beautiful white sand beach. It wasn’t exactly a very big beach but the white sand here is certainly very enticing.
I parked the car by the road. There were a handful of other cars parked as well. They seem to be visitors as well. The beach still seems to be deserted though. It would seem to be some sort of remote island paradise except that the waters here are ice cold. I remember seeing people dressed in wetsuits just to go swimming. I thought that was strange until I realize that the wetsuits are to keep them warm because the waters are cold. The beach of Marble Hill is immaculately clean. It holds the distinction of being a Blue Flag beach which requires beach to uphold a certain standard in terms of keeping the natural state of the beach, cleanliness as well as the sustainability of the beach itself. There are numerous Blue Flag Beaches here in the country and I would love to visit more of them.
