I was only passing through Dunfanaghy, so I was quickly done with taking shots from the view point. I didn’t like it that much since it was too far from the beach. I would prefer that a hill would be directly over looking the beach. This gives me a better view of the beach for a relatively higher vantage point. I started to make my way home. I was hoping to pass by a few interesting places just in case. One of the signs which caught my eye was a sign for Marble Hill Beach. It seems this one is recognized to be a Blue Flag beach, which is some kind of award body which recognizes the quality of the beach. I have been to a few Blue Flag beaches in Donegal and I was lucky to stumble into another one.
There were well posted signs to Marble Hill Beach so it was not difficult to find. It was still off the main road back home but at least it was along a main road. I’m glad that places like these are easily accessible since people would be flocking to them back home. However, I now know that the waters in the beaches here are still ice cold even in winter that I wouldn’t even want to go swimming in these waters. I am happy to be just taking photos of these beautiful places.
