I have acquired the habit of just going through my GPS and see if there is anything of interest. Thankfully enough, my GPS marks scenic locations as part of the points of interest. Actually, I was after the panoramas which Ireland seems to have a lot of. Usually these places would be in an elevated area where you can see a lot of the surrounding area. I have been led to a few of these place by my satellite navigation and so far it hasn’t disappointed. I was going to this again here in Dunfanaghy.
I have been to the town of Dunfanaghy which is a resort town in the north of Donegal. I only passed through the town and nothing more. There was a nearby cliff side which we visited before but I won’t be going there now. The GPS software led to to almost the same path but I turned right after the bridge and started climbing. Pretty soon I was all alone in some rough road, wide enough for one car with no idea what lies in store. It is kind of fun to go off adventuring like this. Fortunately, the chances of getting lost now are quite remote.
