We came to the town of Bushmills for a very, very late lunch. It was already three in the afternoon by the time we got to eat and I was really starving. Fortunately, we managed to get a bit of breakfast before we started our trip. We actually spent too much time at Downhill, which kinda broke our itinerary. Anyway, I was glad we were able to find a place for lunch. The French Room as you might expect serves French food. Now, I’m the kind of person who thinks that French fries are actually French, and I don’t know anything about French food at all. All I know what that the food which was served at The French Room wasn’t that bad. I think it is a great place for a date, and I would love to bring someone here. Not having any of that, I finished our late lunch very quickly. We decided to spend sometime digesting our food.
The French Room is actually a very attractive restaurant and dare I say that it is an attraction onto itself. Their shop sells various French products from spices to handicrafts. A lot of their stuff seem very attractive but I wasn’t in the market for that right now. I just wanted to take photos. The restaurant has another floor on top but this didn’t seem to be a place for eating. At least it didn’t seem that people actually eat here. The top floor was more like a showcase of the products which they have for sale. The place was arrange quite tastefully and I think it was good enough to take photos of. We didn’t end up buying anything from the shop anyway, but I think it is one of those shops where you can see stuff you seldom see elsewhere. I think this is a good place to have a relaxing cup of tea or since it is French, perhaps a glass of wine?
