We were extremely late in following our itinerary. By the time we reached Portrush it was already way past lunch time. We wanted to have a nice lunch somewhere but according to our schedule will still have to drive some distance to our lunch destination. This town is Bushmills. It is rather popular for its whiskey but that will have to come later. Lunch calls. Bushmills Town seems to be a very busy town but it is quite attractive. We drove into Main street and found a spot. We quickly ran into the restaurant but we needed to wait a bit since they were quite busy. It was already three in the afternoon by the time we got seats but it was okay.
The French Room as you may guess is a French restaurant. I don’t know much about French food but it is said to be one of the great cuisines of the world. I would want to try it. We ordered stuff we never heard of. It took us a while but patience is a virtue. I wasn’t able to take down the names of the food we had but they certainly looked great. Appetizers came in the form of breach. One of them came with liver pate which is a French delicacy. It is really nice. It tastes much better than the liver spread I like. Mains came in the form of stuffed chicken, which didn’t really satisfy me. My friend got a very impressive dish, which looks like a long pizza French style. I made me green with envy but I already ordered mine. Oh well, I could always come back here if I wanted to.
