I have been writing how beautiful a country Ireland is. Rolling hills and greenery as far as the eye can see. I love going on road trips here but the weather never seems to cooperate with us. As a friend of mine told me, don’t plan, just go. I think this is true since the weather changes so quickly here that a good forecast will turn bad very quickly. Barring any storms, anytime seems to be a good time to explore the country. This time, we will be going up to Northern Ireland. This part of the island is also very beautiful, plus, it is more accessible to us. We came upon this idea to follow the Game of Thrones route. The internet has sites which describe how to go about doing this.
While I have certainly heard of that popular television series, I have never watched a single episode of Game of Thrones. Still, I was thinking that if it was good enough for a film set, then it should be good enough to visit, regardless of whether I am familiar with the places or not. I will be giving a little description of these places as it happened in the series but I believe fans will know better. Our first destination will be the village of Downhill. It is still a good hour drive from where we were but I don’t think we were in a hurry, the days we already getting longer and hopefully, we would be able to see more. I think this is going to be an exciting trip.
