I wasn’t exactly very pleased seeing the beach at Rosses Point, perhaps it was rather ordinary given that I have seen a few very impressive places here. It is true that you can’t have it all. A lot of the sand here at Rosses Point could also be sediment which has built up over the years. There were people playing in the beach though but considering how the cool wind was blowing and I don’t think I would be able to enjoy myself here. There is a group which seems to enjoy the waters here.
On our way out, we noticed a small structure with a few boats off to the side. I first thought that it must be fishing boats, then again, they seemed to be too small for that. This is the Sligo Yacht Club. It isn’t really obvious that it is a yacht club with all the sails of the boats pulled down. This is not really surprising with the powerful winds in this area. All of the boats here were safely towed to land, there is no telling what would happen had you left the boats there. No one seems to be out at sea right now, since the winds were making the seas rough then again, maybe that is the whole point of sailing.
