There was no need for an introduction to Glencar Waterfalls. This is probably one of the more well known ones in the area and even I knew about this place even before this trip. The way to the falls was very straightforward. There was a small park which was built for this and a nicely paved path leads to the falls itself. You would know that you are almost there when you see a small set of cascades to the right. It was only a matter of time before we reach the falls.
Glencar Waterfalls isn’t particularly tall, I’d say it is about two stories high. I have seen taller waterfalls before but at least this one has a decent breadth to it. Ireland has plenty of water and it ensures that the falls is always impressive. The basin below the waterfalls didn’t seem too deep but I may be wrong. Normally, I would have seen people swimming in the refreshing waters of the waterfall but not here. I guess it is just not a thing here here. There isn’t really much angle to view the waterfalls since you can’t look at it from the other side. Maybe the more adventurous can clamber down the slope for a different view. We were still lucky the weather was cooperating, we even got a nice rainbow in our photos.
