We were pleasantly surprised by our visit to the Giant’s Causeway since we didn’t expect to be doing a bit of hiking here. The hike brought us to various viewpoints that allows us to see the beauty of this place. After a bit of exploration at the visitor’s center, which was just some exhibits about the Giant’s Causeway, and we were on our way. Curiously, we weren’t asked for the tickets which we purchased to enter the Giant’s Causeway, we didn’t get checked when we entered, and neither were we checked heading out of the parking lot. Maybe it is because that it was already past six in the evening and some of the parking staff had already gone home. Anyway, we just treat this as our contribution to the conservation of this UNESCO World Heritage site.
We had one more stop before we call it a night. There was another site which was nearby and by nearby we meant that it was less than an hour away. The curiously named Carrick-a-Rede was next on our list and although there were a lot of signs pointing that was, we still relied on our trusty GPS to make sure we get there. There was still a lot of light left the sun won’t be going down for another couple of hours. I guess, this is what is nice about summer here. You get to enjoy the outdoors more during this time, Fortunately, there is normally not that many people to begin with so it is still okay even if everybody is out.
