There are a few fixed walking trails here at the Giant’s Causeway. From the map you would see a few options here. We went for the lower path which hugs the coast. This wasn’t close enough that you get your feet wet but it is probably the best path to choose here. The path is nicely paved and although I would frown on paved road in heritage sites, I think this is better than have people walking all over the place. There are for parts to the path along the coast and we were on the Grand Causeway, I wasn’t really sure what differentiates one from the other or why they were named that way but I guess it makes for easier identification.
The Grand Causeway consists of a small rocky bay which wasn’t really that interesting to me. It look pretty much like any other bay I have seen here in Ireland. There was a marker where which shows that this is the Giant’s Causeway and that it is a UNESCO World Heritage site. As you can probably tell, I try to visit UNESCO World Heritage sites wherever I can, this is another one I can check oof my list.
