We have finally had lunch so we were ready to explore the Giant’s Causeway. I have been trying to visit this place and it was only now that I managed to drag friends with me to come. With the magic of GPS we were able to make it here. However, there seems to be some trick here. Turns out, you don’t really need to pay the entrance fee to enjoy the Giant’s Causeway. However, if you want to park at their car park, you might need to pay if you leave early. If you are a customer of the hotel, you might be able to park near the hotel. From the hotel, there is a path that leads to the main trekking path. It is a very well paved path and it is good enough for some tour vehicles to move on. I wanted to be able to take photos along the way. I don’t think it would be that far either.
What lay before us is spectacular coastal scenery. The path was built along the coast and you should be able to leave the path anytime you want to. There are a few scenic spots along the way. Various parts of the path are given names but I can’t really see why. Perhaps there is a story behind this but I wasn’t aware of it. All we did here was keep walking and basically following everyone else. We went there in the summer and it was quite busy. I don’t think I mind all the people. It was a large area so it doesn’t feel very crowded. I would probably be better to come here in the morning when the crowd isn’t as heavy.
