For some reason we didn’t have lunch that day and the only thing I had that day was a single scone. I probably used the energy from the scone to explore Slieve League since by the end of our exploration I was already starving. My friends dropped by Donegal Castle on our way back. By the time we were done it was already late afternoon. Obviously by this time I was already famished. I suggested that we go this place which I have visited previously but I have never eaten there. Harvey’s Point is a hotel which was not too far from Donegal Town and the scenery there is beautiful and worthwhile to visit. I was there previously but we already had lunch so we didn’t eat there. I did make a note to eat here the next time I come.
Harvey’s Point is a lovely hotel on the shores of Lough Eske. They managed to land a very nice spot here where you can go walk along the shores of the lake. However, we didn’t come here for the lake. We came here to eat. They have a famous carvery buffet, unfortunately, it is only on Sundays. We ordered a meal from the menu. I had roast of the day, which was roast beef which came with potatoes. It wasn’t that bad, but I won’t be telling everybody about how good it was. Perhaps I am not really into these kinds of food so it would be unfair to them. I might even go as far as to ask if this is the same food that I would see in the Sunday carvery? The restaurant is beautiful though. Half of it seemed to be reserved for some event. If you are lucky you can get a seat where you can see the lake. If I would go on a date, I would probably bring someone here. This place is that nice.
