It was amazing to see the cliffs here at Slieve League. In what is probably already a very common sight for me by this time, the area where the ocean meets the land is nothing short of amazing. The relentless crashing of the ocean into the land has created one of the most amazing seascapes in the world. It is true that a lot of places here in Ireland look like that but seeing that always takes my breath away. The Slieve League can be seen as the other places I have seen before but supersized. There is a mountain which is carved by the sea, creating what is Europe’s tallest sea cliffs.
There is a path here where you can start your exploration. Already, the parking lot where we were was high up. The path here brings you up even further. The fixed path isn’t really very long as it totally disappears after a short walk. After that you are on your own. The path onwards isn’t really very treacherous As you would need to be very determined to fall into the sea. Along the way, you will be treated to amazing scenery that will make you keep on walking. Most of the walk would bring you around the cliff, but there is nothing stopping you from continuing on.
