When my friend said that we would be going on a road trip, we didn’t plan that much. We both knew that we wanted to go to this part of county Donegal since it is one of the most well known spots in the county, but we didn’t really know what else is there. What we did was we just pointed out GPS software to this place and we were on our way. It was quite easy enough to get there since it wasn’t really very far from our place. We probably traveled just over an hour to get here. We asked for direction from the Tí Linn cafe and they said that it is “short” hike from there to the site. There is still a road, so we decided to just drive all the way there. However, people do hike all the way there. I won’t be doing that this time.
Slieve League is one of the most well known places in county Donegal and it is practically at the edge of the county. The scenery on the way to Slieve League is beautiful. But it is better here since there is the sea. The green hills are a given here and after a while of seeing them you get bored of such beauty. This is probably another change for me to get a change of scenery. Slieve Leauge is just beyond the hills and it seems we just keep going higher and higher. This is not really a very tall mountain here but it is close.
