We wanted to start early the next day, we have a full itinerary ahead of us and we wanted to clear them as soon as we could. This was our last full day of exploration in Rome and we wanted to make the most of it. Admittedly, a few days in Rome doesn’t really give it much justice. There is so much to see here that you probably need at least a week to see the must see sights. A week is something we didn’t have. I don’t really like traveling like this but this was something which I did not plan. I will just follow wherever my friends would like to go. This morning, we will be visiting one of the Rome’s most famous monuments. The Colosseum is one of the most famous ancient monuments in the world, and I wouldn’t want to miss the chance to visit this place.
Fortunately for us, the metro system of Rome is convenient enough to use. It isn’t really the most modern of subways but it works and more importantly, it goes to a lot of the well known tourist sights. You could probably say that the metro system might have been built for the tourists since they would find this most convenient to move from site to site. Coming out of the metro station, I noticed that the station was quite large. I realize that this was probably to accommodate the large number of tourists which visit the Colosseum. Coming out of the station, we were greeted by the massive structure which is the Colosseum in Rome. I can’t believe it is really here!
