We went to another large square in Rome, this one is Piazza Navona. It seems that this was supposed to be a large square which was supposed to host the market. The area around this plaza is quite dense thus it was prefect for the purpose. There was no market at the time of my visit. I think they tear it down at the end of the day. I can still see that it is wet in the piazza, probably because of the market that used to be there. There was a vehicle was cleaning the grounds, good idea if there was a wet market here.
The market isn’t the only thing that can be found here. I remember that the gelateria which we went to was named Gelateria del Teatro. Teatro refers to theater, but I didn’t see anywere you might have a theater. Most likely, that theater much like the market is removable. Performances are also held here in the piazza and there was enough space to hold any kind of performance. Unfortunately, for us, we didn’t see any performances at that time. However, there are now a lot of restaurants which line the piazza, we probably would be choosing one soon.
