At the time of our visit, it was approaching summer so days were getting quite long. It was already early evening but it was still bright outside. We were not really used to this kind of timing but we welcome it. This allows us a little more time to do some exploration even if it was already early evening. We decided to stay at the fountain area since we want to go back that at night. We were walking around the city blocks trying to find a place which we would have dinner at and we ended up at the Pizzeria Galleria Sciarra. As the name implies, this place serves pizza but the also have stuff other than pizza.
We managed to get seats outside the restaurant. It was a night cool night but may be a bit chilly for some. Fortunately, they provided heating for customers. It is a welcome treat for us as we just wanted to stay near the heater all the time. We ordered some pizza and I had something which seemed a little more interesting. It was beef with mozzarella and tomatoes. I thought I finally hit a really authentic Italian dish which I have never eaten anywhere else. The meat was a bit not enough for my tastes but I though it was nice and tender and probably because of the tomatoes it was succulent. This is the first time I had chunks of mozzarella on anything which is not pizza. The mozzarella gives the dish an interesting texture as the mozzarella has a chewy texture as you might already know from eating countless pizza. Service was quite prompt and it seems Italian waiters have a flair for dealing with tourist customers as he was constantly trying to engage us in conversation.
