Inside the Vatican Museum

There was a long line outside the Vatican Museum, though it wasn’t as bad at the queue outside Saint Peter’s Basilica. Still, I wouldn’t want to waste time queuing here if I could help it. Actually we could help it. We purchased Roma passes which allowed us to skip the queue outside the museum. This was also applicable to the Saint Peter’s Basilica as well, so we saved a lot of time on that. There was a dedicated lane for pass holders which made it extra quick. I know the pass is expensive but it was either spend time queuing up or just pay to get ahead of the queue. The Vatican Museum is supposed to be one of the most important museums in the world. I insisted that we put the museum in our itinerary when it was dropped. Perhaps my friends weren’t aware of the significance of this place.

The lobby of the Vatican Museum was surprisingly modern. I was half expecting it to be something like a palace much like the other museums that we have been to. This museum isn’t as massive as the Louvre but there are also a lot of very important works of art here that a lot of people would be able to recognize. Again, I’m not art critic but I should be able to recognize some of these works of art.
