We were exploring some islands of the Venetian Lagoon. We have already explored the island of Murano, which is famous for its glass works. It wasn’t a huge island so we were able to finish exploration quite fast. We then got on a vaporetto from the Faro vaporetto station to the vaporetto station of Burano also named Burano. There is only one station here in the island, so there won’t be any confusion on where to go. Burano is even smaller than Murano, so this one should be quick as well. One thing you would notice almost immediately is how colorful the buildings here are. There are no high rise buildings here. The houses here are mostly one or two stories here and they are incredibly attractive.
Just like the island of Murano, Burano is also not as heavily touristed as Burano, although I would probably say that there are a bit more people here in the island than Murano. I would think that that colorful houses here are partly to blame. They just look so good in photographs. We don’t have a plan on how to explore the island. We just took off where everyone else was going, I’m sure we would see something interesting.
