I was glad that we arrived in Venice quite early in the day. We were able to do a fair bit of exploring here in this picturesque city. I don’t think I have ever been to any city which is as charming as this one. Yes, there are a lot of people here all the time but it is still possible for you to find places which are not as crowded. This is where these little streets come into play. The city of Venice has numerous small streets and a lot of them have pleasant surprises. It was actually time for lunch, we decided to go for an earlier lunch so we can avoid the lunch time crowd and explore more later.
So what are you supposed to eat here in Venice. Well, seafood would be a nice choice since there are lots of water around. However, since this was our first time in Italy, we went for something typical. We came across this nice little restaurant with a very chatty waiter who managed to convince us to patronize their restaurant. Competition is very stiff here in Venice so they really go out of their way to convince you to eat. I wasn’t ready to spend that much for lunch, so I went with the lunch meals. You guessed it, it was pasta. Each one of us had different kinds of pasta, honestly, I can’t really tell how good pasta tastes like.
The pastas though weren’t cheap, they were nothing spectacular, but they didn’t seem to be fast food quality either. We sat outside and the waiter continued to chat us up. We asked for their wifi password and he grabbed the phone and started to input the password himself. I wasn’t sure why he didn’t want to just give it to us. He said to talk to each other but I want my internet. He didn’t reveal the password to any of us but I have my ways of getting that information. Everyone probably has wifi here so I don’t really understand why he would be reluctant to share it with us. Isn’t it for customers use anyway? It is not as if we were living nearby and just want to mooch off their wifi.
