The whole reason why were in rushing through the sights that day was that we need to catch a train out of Paris. We had already purchased the tickets long before that so we didn’t have to worry about that. However, it would have been prudent of us to give ourselves a little lead time to prepare our stuff so we won’t have too much to worry about. I already got my stuff prepared the previous evening so it was just a matter of carrying them and going to the train station. As for dinner, we quickly got some take away from the Middle Eastern store below, it looks good enough.
Getting to the train station was quite straightforward, though you still need to stare at the map a bit to figure it out. From our apartment, we neede to take the line 4 metro to the Châtelet station which is a major interchange for the metro. From there we can transfer to purple, line 14 or the yellow line 1 to get to the Gare de Lyon railway station. There were a few more lines on the map but these turned out to be the suburban rail network and these are not as often as the metro. It would be safer to take the metro to the train station. It was a 12 station journey and fortunately, we managed to avoid most of the rush hour. It was time to leave Paris, I know we didn’t do Paris justice in this visit. Next time, I will visit Paris “properly”.
