One thing I didn’t get to do much of was to walk along the River Seine. The River Seine is the lifeblood of Paris and it is also one of its most well known landmarks. The River Seine winds through what is probably the most beautiful and historic parts of Paris. When we got out of the Louvre Museum, we suddenly found ourselves along the River Seine. We didn’t really plan this since we were just in a hurry to get out of the museum. We had a schedule to keep so we needed to keep on moving. Walking along the River Seine wasn’t exactly part of the plan, but it was a welcome one. There is a busy road which passes parallel to the river, but there is still a path along there river where you can walk.
I thought it would be nice to walk here but I always have bad possibilities in mind that prevent me from walking along the river. Because of past experiences with some major rivers elsewhere I have become wary of these places as they could be the breeding ground of bad elements. It was still mid afternoon so I guess there was nothing much to worry about. Maybe I should stop worrying and stop being the bodyguard in this group.
