With no proposal ring in hand, I didn’t really have much reason to be here at the Eiffel Tower. The weather wasn’t even good. There were a lot of people here all the same. All I had was my camera and I was just taking photos of the place or at least whatever I can see from the top. It was misty so you can’t really see far. You can still see the ground but the colors were all dull as you might expect. It was probably time to move on. We were at the second level of the Eiffel Tower but there was another higher level. This was the top naturally and anyone who visits the Eiffel Tower surely aspires to go to the top of the tower. I think it used to be possible to walk up the tower but it was dangerous. Now the only way was to use the lifts.
I wasn’t really difficult to find the lifts. You can tell from the large groups of people in the center of the second level. There were multiple lifts here serving the large number of visitors of the tower. I always wondered how do they know people would still fit on top of the tower. Perhaps they keep count and limit the number of traffic going up. It was a dizzying climb up the tower. I was never comfortable with heights and this one is no exception. I was still able to take photos going up the top as I was fortunate to be by the elevator doors. The top naturally has another viewing deck and as expected, there were already a lot of people on top. This is after all the highlight of any visit to the Eiffel Tower, unless of course you have a proposal ring.
