We have basically gone through the entire town just to get to the tourist information center in Provins. The information center is inconveniently located just outside the medieval town and it is some distance away from the railway station. I thought that would have been a better place to put the information center. Anyway, we have basically passed through some of the important places to see here. And maybe there was no point coming to the information center in the first place. One of my companions has this thing for tourist information center and prefers that we knows exactly what we were doing. I can’t say I blame her since there wasn’t a lot of information on Provins on the net. If only I had data on my phone then we won’t have to worry about that.
The tourist information center is at a small building just outside the town walls. It was actually more of a souvenir shop than an information center. There were a few interesting stuff available here and I must admit that I had to buy a few stuff to bring back home. Provins in known for their rose production and they have put rose in a few products such as jam. There were jars of the stuff and they seem interesting. There was also rose tea for people interested in tea. I liked the shop since they have stuff you don’t really see too often in other souvenir shops. As for the tourist information part? It was more like ask the cashier anything you want.
