We found out that there is a train the goes from the Charles de Gaulle Airport to downtown Paris. It wasn’t exactly very obvious for us as we were still in a state of confusion since we just arrived at the airport. Add the fact that we were already hungry and you have a recipe for disaster. We were kind of hoping to be able to have lunch here at the airport but we didn’t find one which suited our tastes. We decided to have lunch somewhere near the apartment we will be staying at and hopefully, there will be more choices there. The first part of the plan was actually getting to Paris. Charles de Gaulle Airport it quite some ways out of Paris. Fortunately, they have regular trains going to town.
After a bit of asking around we managed to find the ticket purchase kiosks for the trains. There were a lot of kiosks here but purchasing them turned out to be a bit of a challenge for us since the user interface wasn’t exactly very intuitive. The tickets weren’t terribly expensive and they were printed out for us right there. There is a turnstile further on the floor. There is also a announcement board for the departing trips. There were a lot of trains going here and it was confusing to know exactly which was one to take since a lot of these places weren’t familiar to me.
