We were really done with Park Güell. Surprisingly, we managed to get a view of what was inside the park itself. I was able to stick a camera through the gate and take a few photos of the inside. This part of the park seems to be more lively than the part where we entered through, which seemed to be like a forgotten entrance. Here, there were cars and presumably a bus which visitors can take to go back to town. We weren’t in a hurry to go back and besides we were planning to take the metro back to town. It would probably be a long walk back so we just took our time.
Outside the park there were the expected tourist shops which sell anything Gaudí. Quite popular is the replica of the multicolored mosaic salamander El Drac, which is probably Park Güell’s mascot. There were a lot of books on sale here as well, most of them pertaining to Gaudí. We passed by a shop which was advertising a 4D Gaudí ride. What is that? I was just as mystified when I saw a demo of what it was. It was basically a ride you take in theme parks except that this was Gaudí themed. I couldn’t believe they would make a ride out of that but I guess, if people are that involved with Gaudí, maybe they would give this a try.
