I was surprised to see a viewing deck here at the very end of Rambla Vella where it is supposed to intersect with the railway line. It seems that the Rambla Vella was on a slightly elevated area and that the avenue was just terminated like that. The result is that there is a viewing deck almost at the very end of the city. You get a very good view here of the sea and the surrounding area. The sky was much clearer now and it shows. The waters here have a very nice blue color reminiscent to beautiful beaches I have been to in the past. I won’t be surprised to know that there are indeed beautiful beaches here.
You can also see the railway line below. If this sounds familiar, yes, we passed by that area earlier in the morning. We followed the street which was along the railway line and it led us to the Roman Amphitheater of Tarraco. Now that I think about it. I think I remember seeing the viewing deck from below. It was indeed much higher than the railway. There is a hill where the Rambla Vella ends and the viewing deck now sits. From the viewing deck you can already see the railway station, we were surprisingly in a high area. We lingered a little longer at the viewpoint before moving on.
