The Plaça de la Font was a pleasant place which we happened to wanted into. We only have lunch here but were able to watch a performance by locals, most probably because of Easter Sunday. As we were making our way out of the plaza, I noticed a fountain which was dispensing water. There were four faucets on each side of the fountain and they were in working condition. Is this why it was called Fountain Square? I find it difficult to believe this since the fountain wasn’t really that big nor that impressive. However, this was the first time I saw these kinds of devices. The water looks clean enough but I didn’t really want to take any chances since I was on vacation and I didn’t want to fall sick because I took some unclean water.
Whenever I am away, I always buy my water or at least have it at a restaurant. Okay, there is no guarantee that the on in the restaurant will be any better, maybe it is just psychological. Anyway, we were making our way to another site in Tarragona, when we happened to see another one of these drinking fountains. I saw people just scoop up some water to drink and it does seem clean. I would like to see more of these things before I would take a swig out of this. Maybe towards the end of my trip.
