The next morning we woke up early to catch a train out of Barcelona. We will still be in Catalonia but we would traveling outside the city. You can say this is all my idea since I would want to visit all the other places nearby. The seaside town of Tarragona is our next destination. I don’t expect Tarragona to be a very busy place since it doesn’t really feature a lot in tourists’ radar. This is not surprising since Barcelona itself is a massive tourist magnet, not a lot of people would be venturing out. Anyway, our train to Tarragona leaves from Barcelona Sants.
This was the train station where I first arrived at and it feels quite different this time. I never spent much time outside the station so I don’t really remember how it looks like. We purchased our tickets over the counter, I wasn’t expecting difficult purchasing them since it was not as popular as Barcelona itself. The train was a Renfe train and it was spacious. Travel time here would be just over an hour. We got a bunch of seats and just waited. The train never really got full and we left on time. I tried to follow our route in my GPS but I couldn’t somehow lock into a satellite. It would have been very useful if I had gotten that working. The train passed by a number of towns. Once we reached the sea, I knew that we were almost there.
