I didn’t realize that taking the train in Spain would be so difficult. We made a mad dash for the next train to Barcelona after we found out we were going in the wrong direction. This was primarily due to the fact that there was only one set of tracks at the station which we were waiting at. As it turns out, the train would eventually be heading back the same direction using the same set of tracks. My companions and I weren’t used to this kind of setup so we got on the wrong train. That was all in the past now, we were catching out breath in the train. As the train moved on we noticed that there seem to be far too many prams on the train. It was almost like a day care center. At one point, we had six prams in our area and a large dog. Fortunately, the babies weren’t noisy.
However, one of our companions suddenly felt ill. It was probably from the stress of sprinting towards the train with a still full stomach. There wasn’t much we could to but ask her to wait it out. The train didn’t have a toilet so we just had to wait. She managed to make it back to the apartment in one piece and we still managed to go for dinner.
We had dinner at a fancy restaurant near our place. It was serving Spanish food, though I didn’t really know what the names were. The waiter here spoke decent enough English, and I guess you have to pay a little premium for that. The food was plentiful, at least most of it. I had some rice based dish, which unfortunately, wasn’t as plentiful as the others. It was almost like a different kind of paella. We had some wine to go with our food and for while it felt that we were rich to be eating at a place like this. The price actually wasn’t really that expensive and I would say it is pretty much on par with most other restaurants here in Barcelona.
