We were quickly done with the museum of Barcelona and it was still bright outside. The days were longer in the summer which gives us a lot of time to explore the city. We eventually found ourselves in the main shopping street of La Rambla. Practically the entire Barcelona was out there as there were a lot of people. I would have thought that the place would be deserted since it was Holy Week. It seems that people don’t observe it that much anymore. When there are people there would always be people selling their wares. In this case, services.
Towards the end of La Rambla there are a few talented artists who paint and draw for a living here in the city. The art they have on display here is amazing and some of them perform speed painting. It is incredible how they can produce nice works of art in such a short time. There were a few caricature artists but I only found one of them decent. These artists draw in the crowds and I can’t really blame them since they are quite good. If you have the time you might want to sit and have your self drawn right there in the middle of the road.
