Most of the exploration of the Museu d’Història de la Ciutat of Barcelona is at the ruins at the basement of the museum. I thought it was interesting to see how the people back then lived and it was incredible that the remains of the old city from the Roman times survived. It is probably through some happy accident when people digging suddenly unearthed the relatively intact ruins. There is a rather fixed route which everyone takes, all you have to do is to follow the arrows. At the end of the tour, I discovered that the museum was already closing.

Off to the side of the exit, there was another door and it looked a lot like a church. In fact, it probably was a church at some point in time. There was the classic dome and the stained glass windows. For a church it was quite small and I suspect part of the museum here used to be part of the larger church. All that is left here now is the beautiful retablo just behind what used to be the altar. The chapel here seemed to be odd as I would have probably kept the entire church instead of repurposing it as a museum.
