We didn’t really have a plan in mind that day since we were supposed to visit the Sagrada Familia only to find out that there weren’t any more tickets available for that day. We spent much of the afternoon exploring the Barri Gotic or Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. There is much to see here, probably too much, that you can’t probably visit all of the places in one day. A proper visit to Barcelona would require at least a week to see the beautiful places here. Anyway, we ran into one of the many museums of Barcelona. From the name, it seems that it is a history museum of Barcelona.
I’m not sure what piqued the interest of my companions but we entered that Museu d’Història de la Ciutat which is the city museum of Barcelona. I would expect that this would showcase the history of Barcelona through the years. Given that these places tend to be very old, I think this would be an interesting experience. We don’t have much time to explore the place as it seems it would already closing for the day. They did let us in. My friend managed to get a discount at for the entrance. It seems the owner of the apartment left us some vouchers which we can use to get some discounts off the museums. There wasn’t enough for everyone though.
