We were walking rather aimlessly along Las Ramblas and just admiring the busy street. We would walk along one of the smaller streets in the Gothic Quarter to look at some shops. A lot of these shops were unknown to me and I assume them to be local. Still they have a lot of interesting stuff. It is nice admire the architecture here but the buildings were too close and it was difficult to get a proper shot here. I guess it is better to just go window shopping here. We were walking along and we walked into a small enclosed plaza.
There were a lot of people hanging out in the plaza and I suspected this was one of the well known places. This was Plaça Reial or Plaza Real in Spanish. This is a plaza which is in the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona and it is known to have some popular bars. Concerts are also held here. As I was observing the square I happened to see a Philippine flag flying from one of the windows of the buildings surrounding the plaza. I could not find any information about that flag. I was assuming that it was the office of the Philippine embassy but it wasn’t. I do know that there is a large Philippine community in Barcelona and Spain in general.
