I still have a bit of time before the bus back to the train station arrives. So I decided to take a quite tour of the area near the plaza. I realize that there were some streets which I didn’t pass through and they seemed to be important ones. Important looking perhaps since they are quite wide, in fact, they called them avenidas or avenues. The avenues here didn’t seem to be the type for vehicular traffic which was just fine for me. It feels more like a place for shopping, although this is much wider than the nearby Calle San Juan.
There were more of the those types of buildings here and none of them really stood out for me. Maybe it was because of the heat. It was already noon and the sun was really hot. I might have gotten too used to the cooler weather than I was suffering in this heat. I didn’t think I would have adjusted that fast in such a short time. There were a number of cafe’s here but most of them were in the vicinity of the aqueduct. The rest of the shops here were more of the souvenir variety.
