I was surprised how the paths were laid out in the Alcazar de Segovia. It is good that people won’t really have to randomly walk around the castle if they can help it. I think it is an efficient way to controlling the traffic inside the castle. Although it isn’t really that busy right now, I have seen how busy the Historic City of Toledo can be. It is quite unusual that Segovia is not yet filled to the rafters, I would rather credit that to my early arrival. It is good that I am almost gone with the tour here as some people have already started to make it to the alcazar which is probably the furthest point in the Old Town of Segovia.
There is another balcony at the Alcazar de Segovia, and this one is at the front of the castle. I think I would have preferred the view behind the castle as it is more scenic. The view from the front of the castle is not really that great. From here you can see the garden in front of the castle as well as the bridge which connects that castle to the rest of the town, this was probably a drawbridge at some point in time but these are no longer the medieval ages. I can see that the sun is quite high now and it is hot. I’m glad I did not bring my winter jacket this time.
