Apart from the view from the balcony at the Alcazar de Segovia, there wasn’t much to see in that part of the castle, so I proceeded with the tour. I don’t think this would take that much time since that castle isn’t that big. However, this castle continually produces surprises for me to marvel at. I had to go back in the main building of the castle which led me to another room. This room was not the jaw droppingly spectacular room that the others were. This was more like the weapon room with weapons used back then were used.
There were a number of weapons here on display, cannons being the most prominent ones. There were also spears, pikes and swords. Also display here were armor which presumably were used back then. The display also includes a fully suited soldier mounted on a horse. I don’t think this place was the place where the weapons were used as it would be impractical to use the canon given the structure of the room. It could have been a storage area where the weapons are prepared before or during a battle. This is probably my first close encounter with medieval western weaponry and I thought it was quite interesting to see this.
