The alcazar of Segovia is a well known castle in the heart of Spain. It isn’t very large but it is fully of interesting and beautiful features that it has been an inspiration of other structures. The alcazar of Segovia is a castle, but it is also a fort and a look out point. From here, there is a very good view of the surrounding area. It is important for these places to have a good view of the area to be able to defend against any invaders. The Alcazar is usually at the highest point of the area. I’m not sure if this is the highest point of the Old Town of Segovia, but it is high enough to see around.
I was at the back for the castle and this is where one of the more familiar view of the castle is. However, I was too close to the tower and I was looking around how to get down to see the tower in a better angle. The sun was also behind the castle which made the conditions even worse. The area here wasn’t that large but it was still good enough for visitors to go around and take in the view. Looking at the castle, it is quite imposing and there is a telling lack of windows in this side. If you were an enemy, you would be attacking this side.
