This early in the morning, the Old Town of Segovia seems to be a very pleasant place to visit. The shops here are just opening and there aren’t a lot of people here in the town – yet. I’m glad I decided to come here earlier. The sun rises much earlier these days so I don’t have to worry about arriving here in the dark. Although it would be nice to come here if the weather is still cooler. The Old Town of Segovia is a bit elevated so the weather is a bit cooler, but later in the afternoon it will be very hot again. It is best to get moving.
I continued walking where most of the people here are walking to. Eventually, I arrived at a major square or rather plaza. This is the Plaza Mayor of the Old Town of Segovia. As with any other plaza, there is a large area where people can gather. There are a number of important buildings in this area including the government center or the Ayuntamiento de Segovia which is now a museum. There are also restaurants here around the square and I think it is a nice place to hang around. As with any other Spanish plaza, the main church or cathedral is not too far behind.
