One thing was bothering me the moment I arrived here in the Old Town of Segovia. For a supposedly popular day trip from Madrid, there didn’t seem to be a lot of people. Not that I’m complaining but I would have expected a bit more people than this. It is not very often that I get to visit a famous place and have it all for myself. Apart from a group of cyclists here there doesn’t seem to be any other visitors. I was beginning to think whether of not visiting this place was a good idea in the first place. Since I was already here, I might as well make the best of this place.
I was at the Historic City of Toledo the previous day and it bears a lot of similarities with Segovia. That is, apart from the glaring lack of people here. There were a lot of shops along the streets here, I took that as a good sign that there are a lot of visitors here. Perhaps I was a bit too early coming here. The air was pleasantly cool, this area is probably slightly elevated than Toledo, so hopefully it won’t be as hot here as the previous day.
