There was a time difference between Ireland and Spain of one hour, and I was adjusting to the fact that I need to sleep at an earlier time than I was supposed. When I was talking to my friends, I would forget about the time difference until I was reminded of it. Similarly, I would be waking up even earlier because of the time difference. I purchased a ticket to the Old Town of Segovia but this time I will be taking a different train. This means I needed to leave the hostel even earlier. The trains to Segovia leave from the train station at Chamartin metro station. It wasn’t really difficult to find. I was already told of this fact the previous day and I was ready for this. Again, my train ticket was for a fixed time. This meant I can’t just waltz in and purchase a ticket for any timing. This is good as you are guaranteed seats, but not good if you are the type who doesn’t plan ahead.
Anyway, the Old Town of Segovia isn’t really that far away so it should be a very short train ride. I tried to get the earliest train I could get but I only got the eight o’clock one. Hopefully I would get there early enough to beat the crowd. The train station was large as well, and it was going to different places. One needs to pay attention to which train station you need to be as the two stations are far apart, allow yourself time to get there and make sure you are in the right one. Better yet, confirm the station you need to be in from the person you buy the ticket from. The man who I got the ticket from told me in Spanish that the station I need to board from was at Chamartin, at least I understood enough to know what he was talking about.
