By the time I was out of the train station, it was already way past noon. I was starving but I was still not at the place where I wanted to be. The city of Toledo, at least the historic city, is still a fair bit of distance away. This was not surprising since the outside of the train station was full of taxi drivers waiting for passengers to hire them. There was a tourist information center which provided useful information in going to and visiting the place. I didn’t hire the taxis but continued on foot. I was told that the historic town was around 30 minutes by foot, but it is uphill all the way. I will have to see how long my stomach will last.

The problem here was not that I was hungry but it was already noontime and it was unexpectedly hot. I think I was too used to staying in a place where the weather was cooler that I thought it was very hot. To make matters worse, the sky was so clear there were no clouds to block the sun. Fortunately, I brought my sunglasses along with me. It has been a while since I used them and I was glad I brought them along. Getting to the historic city of Toledo was not that difficult. You just need to follow the stream of tourists walking their way to the city. You just need to follow the road outside the train station and you will eventually find yourself at the historic city. There will be a good view of the old town by the bridge to make sure you pull out your camera there.
