I eventually got out of the National Museum of Ireland. It was incredibly interesting but I have a schedule to follow and it was time for dinner. I was intending to have an early dinner to catch the bus back home. I ended up going to the temple bar area in Dublin to find a nice place to eat. It was not easy to find a place to sit since it was extremely busy in the pub. I got a seat facing the wall, since that was the only one available. There was a counter which was serving food, much like how one would go to a food court in Asia and point at stuff you want to order. Now, those types of food there were considered cheap and “low end” so I was quite surprised to be charged 12 euros for that.
Admittedly, I was no longer in Asia and I can’t expect the same prices there. This has god to be the most expensive point-point food I’ve ever had. It came with gammon (ham) and of course potatoes. It was not bad anyway, I got myself another beer since this was my last night in Dublin. I have been here three days and it has been an enjoyable visit. The pub itself seems to be popular as people were there to watch a football match. It was good fun there but I didn’t linger too long since I needed to catch the bus back.
