With lunch finally done, we were finally instructed to head back to the bus. It was a very interesting visit at Newgrange, and I was impressed at how well maintained the monument was. Perhaps it was a bit too well maintained. Of course, there were lots done to keep the place safe for visitors, so I guess I can’t really blame them. After checking that everybody was back on board the bus, we were off. I didn’t really check the itinerary, all I know was that we will be going to Newgrange Stone Age Passage Tomb. There were some places listen in the brochure but I didn’t really care anymore, all those were just extra, at least I got what I wanted.
It would take us another hour to get to our next destination, however our tour guide didn’t stop from doing her job. As we were making our way, she was continuously pointing things out to us. Apparently, the Boyne Valley, was very historical area and there were other historical events which happened even after the construction of the Newgrange Stone Age Passage Tomb. A lot had to do with kings and soldiers, whose names didn’t really stick to me. I’m sure I can look them up after I come back. We would pass through some quaint towns but we only passed through. I was hoping we would be able to stop since the place was quite picturesque but that was not the case.
