I was quite surprised to see a river running behind the Newgrange Visitor Center. We were on our way to the visitor center buses which will bring us to the Newgrange but along the way, I had to stop of photographs. From the visitor center I notice the area behind the center was misty, in fact, the mist was just rising as the sun was coming up. I really wanted to catch a photo of that but by the time I got there there mist was only limited to a small part of the river. I thought it was a bit strange to keep the buses separate from the center itself however, I realize that if it was outside the center then anyone could have gotten in.
There was a bridge which crosses the river behind the center and it was a nice walk. I remember that our guide was telling us exactly how long it would take us to get to the buses. I head out to the buses earlier so I can take photos of whatever was in front. There weren’t a lot of visitors yet, but perhaps it was just because it was winter then again, winter is probably one of the most important seasons for Newgrange. I wasn’t alone in crossing the river, my fellow passengers were also taking photos as they go along.
