Although I didn’t really pay much attention to our very knowledgeable tour guide while our bus was going to our destination. Sometime before we arrived, I managed to catch some important stuff. It had nothing to do with the history of the place but more on how to properly join the tour. Apparently, our tour guide will only be staying at the visitor center while we continue on to the actual site. This was a strange arrangement. Perhaps this was to be able to control the number of visitors to the place. It seems that we will need to get on another bus to go to the actual site. Upon arrival at the visitor center we were given a sticker which basically divided us into groups. Each group will be going at a slightly different time to control the flow of people.
From the visitor center we will need to go through another exit to get to the buses. I actually thought that we were already at the site but it seems that we still needed a bus to get there. This also implies that all visitors need to go through the visitor center first before being allowed access into the site. This also means that if you miss your bus for some reason, you miss your chance to visit the site. It sounds a bit harsh but I guess this is something you need to control the number of visitors. To get to the buses, we needed to cross a river which runs behind the visitor center. From the bridge it seemed like the river was freezing cold, there was mist coming from the river and it made for a beautiful scene. There was a bit of frost on the ground so it pays to be careful in this place.
