It seems there was only one way in the Dublin Castle and that is to join the tour. We were told that the tour of the castle will be lasting around 45 minutes. Our tour guide was this knowledgeable fellow who seems to be comfortable with what he was doing. We were told that it is not necessary to be following the pace of the tour, which will undoubtedly be slower than rushing through the entire place. However, it seems our guide has a lot of stories to tell us that I decided to hang around. I already paid for the entrance the the guided tour was already part of it. So, why not?
In other places that I have been to, there were usually guided tours offered, but they would usually charge extra for it. What’s more, in those places, they usually offer guided tours in their local, non-English language. If I wanted an English language tour, it would cost extra. This is my first time in an English speaking country and I was pleasantly surprised that it was included in the tour. Our tour guide was already telling us numerous stories about the Dublin Castle that I think it would keep me interested for a while.
