I was glad the weather was much better when I went back to visit Dublin Castle. Although it was no longer the blue sky that we had that morning, it is still better than wet and dreary afternoon. I got a chance to see Dublin Castle again and I noticed that the door that was closed the previous day was open. I remember looking out for any way to tour the inside of the castle the previous day but I couldn’t find one. Maybe it is only open on weekends when there is no work? Entering the door, I was led to the ticket table and indeed they were offering guided tours to visitors.
I normally don’t go on guided tours but it seems it would get one whether I like it or not. The fee to enter the castle was a nominal four euro but I have to be mindful of the time as if I intend to continue on exploring the rest of the grounds of the castle and beyond. The tour will last around 45 minutes which leaves me with some time to see other places here, or perhaps I should just ignore the guide and go at my own pace.
