Around Annagh House

John of Annagh House can be quite chatty if you let him. He was very helpful in giving me suggestions on what to do in my visit to Dublin. I have been to quite a lot of the more famous places but I still have a few glaring omissions, I intend to rectify that that day. He also suggested that I try to go out of town since some of the tours here are quite worth it. I would have to consider that suggestion. So I head out. It was a surprisingly beautiful day, in total contrast to the rainy, depressing weather the previous day. I noticed that I seemed to be talking more and more about the weather ever sine I arrived. I guess there was nothing much to talk about, maybe I should just head to a pub and complain about the weather.

Annagh House from the Outside

Annagh House from the Outside

Annagh House is located in area known as Clontarf which is outside the Dublin city center. Just as you leave the bus station on your way to Clontarf, the area gets a bit dodgy that is until you come here. Clontarf sits beside the sea and from Annagh House you actually get a pretty good view of the water. It is also near the port and what seems to be a factory or perhaps a power plant. Nevertheless, it is very nice to walk here early morning with the cold, crisp air. I could imagine how some guests of Annagh House would do this in the morning. Already there were a few people jogging and making the most of the sunshine. Days like this are quite rare in Ireland.
