I tried to walk off that rather disappointing ramen dinner at Yamamori Japanese Restaurant in Dublin. I still can’t believe I paid so much for that bowl of, what they call, tonkotsu ramen. While it was still a bit early in the evening, I thought I should start to head back since I still haven’t officially checked into the bed and breakfast which I booked. There wasn’t any train to that area. This meant I will need to take the bus back. I already knew how to get back but it was a bit far from where I was. I started my walk back to the bus station area where I would take my bus back. Along the way I walked along the River Liffey.
The River Liffey was surprisingly quiet this time of the night. I was sort of expecting the river area to come alive at night with lots of restaurants and bars. There didn’t seem to be a lot in that particular stretch. I was thinking that most of the restaurants were concentrated in that area I was just at. Although it was quiet, the bridges and buildings along the river were lit up. The Ha’Penny Bridge was a beautiful sight at night and it goes well with the lights coming from the nearby buildings. From the bridge you can see the rest of the river. There really just doesn’t seem to be much activity here.
